At the helm of TKL Research since 1981, Jon Anderson has provided strong and continuous leadership made possible by his past management experience in three major corporations in the pharmaceutical and consumer health industries. Dr. Anderson’s hands-on approach has led TKL on a course of steady growth and success during his tenure. Graduating with a degree in Pharmacy from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Dr. Anderson continued his education with a MS and PhD in medicinal chemistry. He also maintains membership in several professional associations and is a past honoree and supporter of the American foundation for Pharmaceutical Education.
Michael Q. Anderson
Vice President, Planning, Development & Research Service
Michael Anderson’s 24+ years of experience have been quite advantageous when it comes to running the comprehensive clinical services piece of TKL Research. Coming aboard in 1993, Mr. Anderson has gained knowledge in every aspect of TKL operations and now oversees data management, biostatistics, medical communications, information technology and human resources. Mr. Anderson and his team have worked diligently to create one stop for all of your study needs.
Gregory R. Anderson
Vice President, Business Development
Gregory Anderson joined TKL Research in 2000 bringing with him years of clinical experience in the CRO and medical device industry. With 22+ years of experience, Mr. Anderson has played an instrumental role in the growth and development of business for TKL. In his current position, Mr. Anderson continues to grow, expand and maintain client relationships while ensuring a commitment to our sponsors’ success.
Vice President, Clinical Operations
Derek Grimes joined TKL Research in 2007. Mr. Grimes’ 19+ years of research related management experience has helped him to smoothly orchestrate TKL’s core business and clinical site operational functions on a daily basis. His proficiency in directing and overseeing all that goes on to keep studies running smoothly, has allowed TKL Research to become an experienced and dedicated clinical research center.
Matthew Cronin, DMD
Senior Director of Dental Research
Matthew Cronin joined TKL Research in 1988 as a clinical researcher. Now with 29+ years of research experience, more than 45 published papers and abstracts in peer reviewed journals and having been an examiner and/or Principal Investigator for over 300 clinical studies, Matt is currently the Senior Director of Dental Research at TKL. Dr. Cronin earned a BS in Biology and his DMD from Fairleigh Dickinson University and maintains an active membership in the American Dental Association, American Association of Dental Research and International Association of Dental Research.
John C. Lyssikatos
Senior Director, Business Development
Bringing 27 years of CRO experience with him, John Lyssikatos joined TKL Research in 2012. Holding a BS in Chemistry from Rutgers University, he manages and supports client relationships in the pharmaceutical, health and personal care industries. His experience in consulting, designing and executing full service clinical programs provides an understanding of the marketplace and commitment to our sponsors.
Michael Tuley, PhD
Senior Director, Clinical Data Management, Biostatistics & Medical Communications
Michael Tuley has over 26+ years of experience in managing the collection and analysis of clinical trial data for both pharmaceutical and CRO companies. Joining TKL Research in 2016, Dr. Tuley has gained knowledge in every aspect of TKL operations and now oversees data management, biostatistics, and medical communications. Dr. Tuley and his team have worked diligently to create a seamless process from collecting, analyzing and finally to reporting clinical trial data. Dr. Tuley holds a BS in Mathematics as well as a PhD from the department of Psychology in Behavioral Statistics from Baylor University.
Director of Quality Assurance
Deborah Thompson has been part of the TKL team for 25+ years. She is focused and quality driven. This is evident in her work overseeing the Quality Management System and study audits as well as in her education. Ms. Thompson holds a BS in Biology and Medical Technology as well as the following licenses and certifications: Certified Clinical Research Associate, ACRP – Certified Clinical Research Coordinator, ACRP – Medical Technology (American Society of Clinical Pathologists), and Six Sigma Green Belt – Villanova University.
Director of Clinical & Photobiology Studies
Maureen Damstra has been part of the TKL family for close to 30 years. Ms. Damstra’s tenure at TKL has given her the opportunity to become the authority when it comes to running photobiology studies. Her experience is unrivaled. Ms. Damstra now supervises the cosmetics, consumer, device and drug studies. From study inception to the clinical report, Ms. Damstra, her coordinators and clinical staff work meticulously to ensure a successful and efficient study experience.
Director of Phase I Operations
The combination of Irina Krause’s nursing background and clinical trials expertise enables her to run a safe and meticulous phase I facility. Ms. Krause came to TKL in 2010, with over 17 years of clinical operations experience in all phases of drug development. She received a bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) and is currently pursuing a MSN in Clinical Trials. She is a member of the ACRP, holds ACLS certification and holds an active RN license in the state of New Jersey.
Michael C. Saccone
Director of Advertising & Recruitment
Responsible for spearheading subject recruitment, Michael Saccone spends his day developing new and innovative approaches to subject recruitment, improving brand awareness and consumer engagement. Mr. Saccone joined TKL in 2016, with 25+ years of advertising and marketing experience. He is an honors’ graduate and Dean’s Scholar with a BS in Marketing/Management Science. Additionally he has volunteered with the Red Cross, Big Brothers of New York and the Office of Emergency Management.
Associate Director, Dermatologic Safety Operations
Tina LaRosa joined TKL in 2005. Ms. LaRosa has 19 years of research experience. Her focus is in Dermatological Safety, concentrating on both drug and personal care product study designs. Her years of experience have primarily focused on repeat insult patch tests, cumulative irritation, primary irritation and comedogenicity study designs.
Regional Director, Business Development
On a daily basis, Mr. Bonanza puts his thirst for knowledge, creativity and problem solving skills to work as a primary liaison with our sponsors. Part of the TKL team since 2011, Mr. Bonanza manages and supports client relationships for TKL’s Phase I and Research Clinic Operations across the various industries. Mr. Bonanza’s comprehensive set of skills, early development experience and his strong work ethic have been an asset to TKL Research.
